Santa Maria

Near Mikri Santa beach in Paros, this house was designed for holiday rental on a corner plot. With no sea views at ground level, the architecture turns towards the garden and pool, creating an intimate setting for outdoor living.

The accommodation is divided between two volumes, balancing shared spaces with the independence of individual guest rooms. The first contains the living room and kitchen at ground level, with the master bedroom above. The second accommodates four ground-floor guest suites facing the pool. Additional guest rooms and technical spaces occupy the basement.

Sea views emerge from the upper levels: from the master bedroom terrace and from an outdoor sitting area on the roof of the second volume. These elevated spaces offer a different experience of the site, extending daily life beyond the garden towards the wider coastal landscape.

Stone walls, white plastered volumes and shaded passages give the house its rhythm and scale. Planting softens the spaces between the buildings, while the pool becomes the shared focus of the composition—a place around which the rooms, terraces and everyday activities are arranged.
